In 2017, under the musical direction of Philip Ashley, the Costa Blanca Anglican Chaplaincy formed a choir to perform the acclaimed Graham Kendrick Christmas Suite, "The Gift." This inspiring performance was presented to enthusiastic audiences at various venues across the Costa Blanca region. Due to the choir’s strong connection and enjoyment of singing together, they decided to continue, leading to the formation of Cantãmus.
Cantãmus is dedicated to singing a diverse repertoire with a focus on music that uplifts the spirit. Their performances range from spiritual and classical pieces to popular songs and musical theatre favourites. Every selection is carefully chosen to inspire and uplift both the singers and their audiences, creating a meaningful and joyful experience. Join Cantãmus for uplifting live performances that celebrate the power of music to bring people together and elevate the soul.
Rehearsals
The group meets every Monday morning from 10:45 AM to 1:00 PM at Ermita San Josep in La Fustera. New singers of all levels are invited to join this welcoming and supportive choir community.
The repertoire features four-part harmonies that create beautiful, layered performances. While reading music skills can be helpful, they are not required—Philip provides all the guidance and resources needed to help you learn the songs and enjoy singing.
